School has officially begun! Studying is something all students do, whether it’s in class, in person or online. Today, we'll talk about some of the top study locations in your city, at home, and at school. Everyone can find something!
The library
Ever wonder why you just feel so much more productive when you step into a library? Most cities around the world have public libraries, and almost all schools have their own school library. I've definitely spent my break times in the library cramming homework I forgot I had. Plus, the library has everything you need! When you're surrounded by books, research and other people studying, you yourself feel inclined to study. Do yourself a favor and grab a coffee before you work, this definitely helps you feel like that student.
At home
Now I know what you're thinking, how could I possibly study at home? Well truth be told, it's very much possible! You just need a little tweaking here and there and voila! You could turn your desk into a study haven with some time and effort. For one, you could stick up some posters which motivate you to study. I have pictures of Rory Gilmore, Elle Woods and Hermione Granger stuck on my walls. Sometimes I'll make posters for topics we learned about in class or topics I struggle with so I can constantly review them that way. I’ll fix myself a snack and start working. If you struggle to focus I'd definitely recommend using the Pomodoro technique! (shh, it's what i used to start writing this.) Sometimes, you just need a little push before you dive straight into it.
A coffee shop
Coffee shops, whether it's Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, or your favorite neighborhood mom-and-pop café, are among the most well-liked places to study, and for good reason. The best of both worlds can be found in a coffee shop because some customers will still be studying there, but there are also opportunities for people watching and other small-scale distractions when you need a mental break. And best of all, free internet access is available at most large coffee shops as well as many smaller ones.
In a study group
In many circumstances, studying in a group with classmates or coworkers can be very beneficial. One benefit is that everyone in the group will be studying, so you won't have to worry about being the only one. Additionally, group study sessions can help maintain everyone's interest and focus on their studies.
